Uta Runs Berlin’s City Night 10K
Uta will run Berlin’s ‘Bewag City Nacht’ this Saturday evening (6th August). The 10-kilometer race will be started on the famous boulevard Kurfürstendamm at 8:30 p.m. It will be Uta’s first race in her second hometown and in Germany for nearly two years.
“I am really happy to be able to connect a short visit to Berlin with a big road race,” Uta explained. She mainly lives in Boulder (Colorado) and had gained US Citizenship a year ago. In autumn 2003 Uta had participated in two events in Germany. First she was in Frankfurt for a race and then she ran Berlin’s traditional Cross Country.
“The Bewag City Nacht on Saturday will be no serious competition for me. I will just run for fun. And I am looking forward to run with the Berlin people,” Uta said. She is still very popular in her former hometown since she had won the Berlin Marathon three times in the 90ies.
