PBS to Rebroadcast “Marathon Challenge” on April 15
Take The Magic Step’s founder, Uta Pippig, will be seen in the rebroadcast of “Marathon Challenge” on most PBS stations at 8pm EDT on Tuesday, April 15.
Created by NOVA in cooperation with Tufts University and the Boston Athletic Association®, the program offers a behind-the-scenes look at 13 novice marathoners as they prepared mentally and physically for nine months to compete in the 2007 Boston Marathon.
Pippig, a two-time Olympian and three-time Boston Marathon winner, is Team NOVA’s source for inspiration and practical advice both during the marathon and as they undergo intense physical and psychological training by veteran Tufts University coach Don Megerle.
The program also features stunning computer-generated graphics developed by doctors and scientists at Tufts University to show what changes actually occur inside the body as it is put through this ultimate test of endurance.
